Dr.Hanis
My name is Shad Hanis and I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan but moved to Houston as soon as I could at the age of one. I attended Westbury High School and then Brigham Young University where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. After graduation I returned home to Houston and received my D.D.S. degree and orthodontic training at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.
A few of the distinctions that I hold most precious are that I am an Eagle Scout, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, and an Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society member.
During my college years, I served an L.D.S. church mission to Campinas, Brazil for two years, where I became fluent in Portuguese. While attending BYU, I met my wonderful wife, Amy Beth. We are the proud parents of four beautiful children. Although spending time with the family is my favorite thing to do, I also enjoy bike riding, skiing, fishing, photography, swimming and coaching my kids' sports teams.
Being able to practice in the wonderful community of Katy, Texas is an honor and privilege. I feel blessed to be a part of the lives of so many kids and commit myself to providing beautiful smiles, a caring attitude, a good example, and being a friend to all. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life and the life of your family. I look forward to serving our community for years to come.
